MELROSE — On Sunday, December 3 the Mt. Hood Park Association held its annual free Children’s Holiday Party at the Mount Hood clubhouse in the rustic setting of Mount Hood Memorial Park and Golf Course. In the festively decorated clubhouse, we had another overflow crowd of adults and children who enjoyed live musical entertainment by Tony Malionek, Tim Levesque as Yarrow-the Balloon Magician and a visit from Santa Claus, Will Feltner. The overwhelming crowd required the Association to extend the party an extra hour to accommodate the increased attendance to see Santa Claus and the Balloon Magician.
The Association and the management group at the golf course, Sagamore Golf, Inc., provided refreshments and desserts with the help of their function coordinator, Dori Basil and donuts provided by Dunkin Donuts located at 1204 Broadway, Saugus. Finally, special thanks are extended to Joan Bell from the Park Department, Melrose Chamber of Commerce and especially the Sagamore Golf, Inc. for the use of the hall.
