NORTH READING — The annual Apple Festival, a highlight on everyone’s fall calendar, is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Putnam House grounds on Bow Street. The rain date is Sunday, September 24.
The North Reading Historical and Antiquarian Society event will feature free tours of the historic buildings, including the Flint House and the West Village School. Be sure to check out the First Meeting House and the Farm Museum.
Visit local vendors, view works of local artists, sample great foods, enjoy games and pony rides for the kids, listen to great music, and experience wonderful local performances.
The highlight of the day will be the annual apple pie contest with samples of all entry pies available for sale after judging – ice cream will be on hand to finish them off.
