NORTH READING — The public is invited to a collation Monday night being held to honor retiring Select Board members Bob Mauceri and Mike Prisco.
The collation will begin at 6 p.m. in Room 14 at Town Hall with formal remarks and presentations to commence at 6:30 p.m. as the first order of business of the Select Board for the May 6 meeting.
Following the remarks the board will conduct its regular business. Agenda items at their last meeting will include a vote anticipated on the approval of the town budget in preparation for the annual Town Meeting on June 10.
In addition to his 15 years served on the Select Board, Mauceri’s service to the town dates back to 1972 when he was first appointed to a Sewer Study Committee. He served four elected terms on the School Committee between 1973-1986; two appointed terms on the Finance Committee from 1986-1992; and five appointed terms to the Hillview Commission from 1992-2004 plus numerous other committees in town.
Prisco has served three elected terms on the Select Board, including as board chairman for the past three years, and served on the Recreation Committee from 2004 to 2010. He also serves as the board’s representative on the Wastewater Plan Advisory Committee (2012 to present); the Economic Development Committee (2015 to present) and the Capital Improvement Planning Committee (2018 to present).
