Fall curbside collection of yard waste

NORTH READING — The yard waste pile at the Richard F. Spindler DPW Facility at 166 Chestnut St. is open to allow residents to drop off yard waste on Saturdays from April 1 to November 30 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  The center is also open on Sundays during November between noon and 4 p.m.

Waste oil drop off from residents is also accepted at the DPW facility on the last Saturday of every month, from April through November, between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon.

Fall curbside collections

Additionally, the town will conduct two curbside collections of yard waste this fall, including grass clippings, leaves and small branches, on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 6. Place curbside by 6:30 a.m. on both dates.

Use paper bags for leaves and grass clippings; no plastic bags or barrels allowed. Branches must be no greater than three inches in diameter and cut to lengths of no more than three feet. Branches must be bundled and tied (not bagged).
