Health and Wellness Fair Saturday

NORTH READING — The North Reading Health Department welcomes the public to its first annual Community Health and Wellness Fair, on Saturday, October 21 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. on the Main Street and gymnasium of NRHS. Attendees will find activities and informational booths for all ages with more than 75 local and regional community health and wellness resources for children, adults and seniors.

Free activities include a face painter, balloon maker and obstacle course; massages, yoga, acupressure, stretching, tai-chi, karate, boxing and dance demonstrations, cross-fit, chiropractic, nutrition, healthy cooking, skin care, eye care, hearing and dental care, orthodontics, mental health and wellness, and much more!

To participate in the free kid’s mountain bike giveaway bring a non-perishable food item which will be donated to support the North Reading Food Pantry.

Free on-site health screenings include cholesterol, blood sugar and BMI along with various vaccine clinics available for shingles, RSV, pneumonia, influenza and COVID. To sign up for a clinic go to: tinyurl.com/PER9PAWZ

The clinics will be provided by Shaw’s Pharmacy which will bill your insurance for all non-flu vaccines so bring your insurance cards. Attendees have the option to decline if a vaccine is not covered or if co-pays are required that you are not prepared to make.

There will also be a variety of food offerings with tasty healthy treats, nutritious shakes and beverages, vegan offerings, and a farmers market with produce, meats, seafood and much more!
