NORTH READING — The public is invited to attend the NRHS Masquers performance of “Cyrano de Bergerac” tonight, Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. in the NRHS Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 each.
Your attendance will help the cast and crew put the finishing touches on their play in advance of the 2025 Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s One Act competition. This modern adaptation looks at Cyrano through a lens audiences can relate to. It contains some mature language.
The preliminary round of this year’s METG One Act will be hosted by Saugus High School on Saturday, March 1 where tickets will be $10 for eight plays. Performances run from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The Masquers perform second in the line-up at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The snow date is Sunday, March 2.

Semifinals at NRHS
Masquers will also host the METG One Act semifinals at NRHS on Saturday, March 15 starting at 9 a.m. If they advance from the preliminaries to the semifinals, they will also perform “Cyrano” once again on their home stage.
