NORTH READING — Senior captain Mike Sheridan scored the game winner 1:37 into overtime to lead the Hornets to their thrilling 15-14 OT victory over a much improved Triton Vikings squad on April 30.
Sheridan continued his outstanding season with an astounding seven goals and two assists. Fellow senior captain Sean Fagen also recorded nine points from three goals and six assists and senior Jay Schille potted three goals and one assist.
It was a tight contest throughout. At halftime the Vikings clung to a 10-9 lead. In the second half, NRHS managed to outscore Triton 5-4 to tie the score at 14 at the end of regulation and send the game into overtime. Early in overtime, senior Travis Spencer helped free up Sheridan with a solid screen in the middle. Schille was able thread a nice pass to Sheridan who potted the game winner.

Sting Pioneers 12-7 on Senior Night
The Hornets celebrated Senior Night on Friday and picked up their fourth win in a row with a solid 12-7 victory over the Lynnfield Pioneers.
Mike Sheridan and Jay Schille led the way with three goals and two assists apiece. Sophomore Sal Schille had a three point afternoon with two goals and one assist. Senior Liam Buckley and sophomore Jake DiNapoli both added two goals. Junior Thomas Hill stood tall in net with eight saves.
Before the game, the seven seniors; Buckley, Sean Fagen, captain Mark Potter, Jay Schille, Sheridan, Travis Spencer and Matt Supple were honored.
