NORTH READING — Now in its fifth year, given in memory of one of the finest teachers to serve North Reading’s students, the Charles E. Jones Educator Excellence Award seeks to recognize the outstanding teachers in the North Reading Public Schools.
Each year, the Charles E. Jones Educator Excellence Award Committee invites students, staff, and families to nominate the single teacher in grades PreK through 12 who exemplifies educator excellence to them. Each nominee is considered by a committee made up of Mr. Jones’s family members, friends, and educators, and the recipient of the award is that nominee who has received the highest number of points by the committee.
Nominations for the 2024 award will close on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 3:01 p.m.
A single winner is chosen, but all nominees are recognized. The award will be presented, appropriately, on Monday, February 12, 2024. As Mr. Jones would say, “you can look that up!”
Please nominate only one educator using the Nomination Form and Cover Sheet available at http://tinyurl.com/3jjretpm and email your nomination letters to: cejeducatorexcellenceaward@gmail.com prior to the deadline. The nomination form includes tips and prompts for submitting a nomination.
The committee simply asks for those submitting nominations to “speak from the heart” and to “consider not just what your nominee has done, but the impact their work has made on others.”
