NORTH READING — Tickets for the 13th annual Veterans Dinner and Social on Veterans’ Day, Saturday, November 11, are now on sale for $20 per person.
Originally $40 each, through the generosity of many donors, the North Reading Veterans Department has been able to cut the ticket price in half.
This year’s dinner will be held at Ultra Chic at the Hillview Country Club, 149 North St., North Reading, from 5-9 p.m. (doors open at 4:30 p.m.). The ticket price includes appetizers, plated dinner, cash bar, entertainment and raffles.
The dinner is open to all veterans, warriors and military families, including those from area communities. Special guests, the JROTC Marine Corps Cadets of Beverly and Salem will also perform a moving ceremony and various guest speakers will address the audience.
“Our goal is to provide a hot plated meal along with entertainment in a comfortable setting where local veterans and families can spend time together and get to know one another, and perhaps form wonderful friendships in the process,” commented North Reading Veterans’ Director Susan Magner.
To purchase tickets, call 978-357-5211. There will be assigned seating at the dinner so please specify when requesting tickets if you would like to sit with specific individuals. All tickets must have a name assigned to them.
