Loving husband, father and brother
NORTH READING — John R. Saal, 82, of North Reading and formerly of Lynnfield, died in Winchester on January 21, 2021. He was born in Somerville on June 26, 1940 and was the son of the late John L. and Ada (Scheffish) Saal.
Mr. Saal was raised in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He had been a North Reading resident for more than 50 years. He retired from the BASF Corporation of Bedford and then went on to work for the Liberty Chevrolet dealership of Wakefield.
Mr. Saal is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years to Dorothy (Arsenault) Saal; his loving daughter, Tamra Wentzell and her husband C.J. of Methuen; and his brother, Thomas Saal of Peabody. He was also the brother-in-law of Patty Martello and her husband Vincent and Arthur Arsenault and his wife Laura. Mr. Saal is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
