NORTH READING — MaryEllen (Holbert) Fisher, 84, of North Reading, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Care One in Peabody. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Fisher Sr.

Born in Boston on June 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Arless and Winnifred S. (Evelyn) Holbert. MaryEllen had been a resident of North Reading for the past 62 years and was a member of St. Theresa’s Church.

MaryEllen retired from TJX Companies. She loved her family, especially spending holidays with everyone. She was a collector of anything to do with lighthouses; she also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Family members include her loving sons, Edward Fisher and his late husband Doug of Yardley, Penn., and Michael Fisher and his wife Carol of Reading, and the late Charles H. Fisher Jr.; her daughter, Mary B. Joyce and her husband John of Wilmington; former daughter-in-law, Sharon Fisher of Hampstead, N.H.; her late brothers, Bernard B. and Richard Holbert and her late sister, Martha Melanson. She was a grandmother of five and great-grandmother of four.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
