MarySue LoChirco, 84

Took great pride in raising a family and creating a loving home

NORTH READING — MarySue (Riggillo) LoChirco, 84, devoted wife of Francesco (Frank) LoChirco, died peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Born on August 15, 1940 and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Yolanda M. (Coccio) Riggillo. MarySue took great pride in raising a family and creating a loving home. She was one of the founders/leaders of the St. Theresa’s Prayer Group here in North Reading for many years. MarySue enjoyed taking many day trips with her husband and grandchildren. She was a singer and loved to sing at the Knights of Columbus where they put on church fundraisers.

She was a resident of North Reading for the past 55 years in the house that she and her husband Frank built together.

Ever dedicated to her family, she was so proud of her two beautiful granddaughters (her “chickies”), Cassandra and Samantha. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived her husband Frank, with whom she shared over 64 years of marriage; together they built a beautiful life. In addition, MarySue is survived by her daughters, Susan LoChirco-ONeil and her husband Christopher ONeil of Tewksbury, Paula LoChirco of North Reading, and Linda LoChirco of North Reading; her two granddaughters, Cassandra ONeil of Allenstown, N.H. and Samantha ONeil of Tewksbury, and her five nieces, Andrea Dadekian, Domonique Dadekian, Danielle Martin, Ashley Martin as well as the late Christina Martin. She was the sister of the late Concetta (Connie) DeFelice and her late husband Leonard DeFelice.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (corner of Park Street and Rte. 28) on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service to celebrate MarySue’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
