Loved cooking and collecting coins
NORTH READING — Richard A. Mullen, 66, of North Reading, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Winthrop on July 22, 1957, he was the son of the late Richard H. and Gloria E. (Sias) Mullen. He was a graduate of the Northeast Regional Metropolitan Vocational High School in Wakefield. He later received his associate degrees, both from Johnson & Wales and Northern Essex Community College. Rick had been a resident of North Reading for over 40 years and was member of St. Theresa’s Church.
He was a Chef for the New England Life Insurance Company. He could talk to anybody, anywhere, about anything. He loved collecting and selling coins, Civil War Tokens, and he loved cooking.
Family members include his loving wife of 41 years, Valerie J. (Sheehan) Mullen; his daughter, Amanda L. Mullen and his son, Scott D. Mullen; his brother, James J. Mullen and his wife Kathy; his sister-in-law Maureen A. Sheehan; and many nieces and nephews.
