MIDDLETON — Steven J. Panagas, 71, a longtime resident of Middleton, and formerly of North Reading and Burlington, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Born on July 13, 1954 in Boston, he was the eldest son of John and Ethel (Andromidas) Panagas and the brother of James Panagas of Middleton.
Steve was a kind and gentle man who loved family and church. He was very active at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Andover, where he made many, many friends. Steve gave of himself, welcoming people in the narthex every Sunday, volunteering with the Men’s Ministry at Cor Unum Meal Center in Lawrence and supporting the church’s Annual Greek Festival. He will be sorely missed. May his memory be eternal.
A funeral service was held August 4 in Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
