LUCY FISHER, NRHS Class of 2024, was awarded Girl Scouting’s highest honor, the Gold Award, in a ceremony at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham last Sunday afternoon. Fisher’s project, titled “‘Draw’ Attention to Recycling,” used student-generated art to bring awareness to recycling in the elementary, middle and high schools in North Reading. Completed last summer, the project connected her love of art with her concern for the planet. Fisher has just finished her first year at MassArt in Boston, where she is majoring in Art Education.
