NORTH READING — North Reading will be honoring its veterans at this year’s Veterans’ Day Breakfast with a special slideshow presentation.
All town veterans and their families are invited to submit a photo of veterans for inclusion in the slideshow.
Photos can be a scanned copy of a picture; a cellphone photo of a printed picture or stop by the Veterans Office with your photo and a staff member will gladly offer assistance.
Submit your photo by Saturday, November 1 by email to: veteranservices@northreadingma.gov or bring it directly to the Veterans’ Services Office at North Reading Town Hall, 235 North St.
FRIENDLY BRANCH-RELATED ROASTS
Another feature of this year’s Veterans’ Day Breakfast will be a lighthearted segment of “friendly roasts” between the various branches of service. This is a fun and anonymous way for veterans and community members to share good-natured jokes about the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Space Force.
Submit your roast (short and family-friendly) via email: veteranservices@northreadingma.gov or drop it off at the Veterans’ Services Office at North Reading Town Hall.
“Let’s make this a memorable celebration of service, sacrifice, and community spirit. We would love for every veteran in North Reading to be represented!” said Director of Veterans’ Services Christopher Thomann.
SAVE THE DATE: More details on the Veterans’ Day Breakfast event, to be held on Thursday, November 13 from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the Moose Lodge, will be announced. It is a joint effort between the North Reading Veterans Department, the Veterans Event Committee and the Edith O’Leary Senior Center.
