PHOTO: Fitting tribute to lost World War I veterans

THANKS TO THE efforts of the Veterans Department with support from the Veterans Advisory Board, Town Administrator Stephen P. Maio and the Board of Selectmen, a new World War I memorial was installed by the DPW and others this morning on the Veterans Memorial Common. The new monument honoring those Wakefieldians who made the supreme sacrifice during The War to End All Wars will be officially dedicated at Memorial Day ceremonies May 29.
