Nurse was dedicated to family
LYNNFIELD — Phyllis Lorraine Abdulhayoglu (nee Patrick), of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2025 after a brief illness.
Lorraine, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Everett on May 2, 1934, and graduated from Everett High School. She then pursued higher education at Simmons College, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, after which she worked at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
Lorraine was working at the Deaconess when she met her beloved husband of over 59 years, Sefik. She was the devoted and proud mother to Elisa (and her husband, Michael Cieslewicz); Emil (and his wife, Tamara Abdulhayoglu); and Nur (and her life partner, Damon Osora). Lorraine’s biggest joys and smile in life came from her four cherished grandchildren: Chloe, Michael, Kaitlyn and Peter. Lorraine also leaves behind her four adored granddogs: Luna, Jasper, Lenny and Kiki.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, residents can make a donation to the MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter. The McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, handled the arrangements.
