READING — In celebration of National Public Power Week Oct. 6-10, the Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) is holding its annual Open House on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the RMLD Garage, 218 Ash St., Reading.
All ages are invited to this free, family-friendly event which includes face painting, balloon art, a caricaturist, pumpkin decorating, line worker demonstrations, touch-a-truck and more. RMLD staff will educate attendees about electricity, electrical safety, energy conservation and to share information about RMLD programs.
“We are excited to host this popular event each year, where we bring the community together, share information about key RMLD programs, and provide fun, family-friendly entertainment,” said RMLD Interim GM Paul Heanue.
