Last Friday afternoon, the Hornets lost, 4-1, to visiting Newburyport in a game between the CAL Kinney Division co-champs from last year.

The Hornets lost at home to the Clippers last season but won at Newburyport in the second meeting.
The Clippers led this game 3-0 at the half. They scored their first goal with seven minutes left in the first quarter and their second one with 10 minutes remaining in the second.

Panousos made nine saves in that game.
In the season opener on Sept. 3, the Hornets belted host Pentucket by a final of 6-1 up in West Newbury.
