Steffanie Fahey, 46

Loved dancing and animals

MALDEN — Steffanie Anne Fahey, 46 of Malden passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, December 5. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by their sudden loss.

Born on December 27, 1976, Steffanie spent the better part of her childhood, living in Middleton where she forged life-long friendships and memories with many. She graduated from Masconomet Regional High School with the class of 1994. Throughout her life, Steffanie continued to touch the lives of anyone she was exposed to with her funny, adventurous and kind hearted spirit. As an adult, Steffanie had success in many different fields of profession, but she eventually found her calling as a longtime caregiver to the elderly. Her compassion for others and her entertaining personality was a perfect recipe for many, looking for support and companionship, in their later years.

Steffanie found the “love of her life,” her fiance, Larry Burrows, of Malden 6 years ago. They lived together in Malden and were a huge part of and a positive influence on their community. After losing her beloved dog, Spike a few years ago, Steffanie’s home quickly became a must stop destination for all the other dogs in the neighborhood, offering endless treats, in exchange for dog kisses. The people that lived around her were her second family. Steffanie was always the first one to help in any situation and they all cherished and appreciated her. Steffanie was always a friend to anyone who needed it.

Steffanie “loved” so many things. She loved to dance. She loved animals. She loved her car. She loved coffee. She loved her clients. She loved her neighbors. She loved her friends. She loved her extended family. She loved her family. She loved to visit with her favorite brother, her favorite sister-in-law, her favorite nephew and her favorite nieces; the author might be a bit biased. She loved and adored her soulmate and fiance, who tried to give her the world. And she loved and admired her inspiration, her number one fan and her greatest supporter, her Mom!

And we all, loved her unconditionally! Because that’s what family does.

Steffanie, Steff, Steffi, Auntie Steff, will be greatly missed. She is survived by Wanda A. Leblanc (mom) of Cape Neddick, ME; Paul Fahey (favorite little brother), his wife Christina Fahey (favorite sister-in-law) and their three children: Ethan, Ella and Emma (favorite nephew and nieces) of South Berwick, ME; and Larry Burrows (fiance) of Malden. Extended family: Steven Downs of York, ME; Erica Clark, her husband Jody and son Owen of Eliot, ME; Sarah Delisio-Downs, partner Wagner Aquino-Capellan and their son Nikolai of Lowell; her adoptive father Joseph F. Fahey of Beverly; stepbrother Brian Fehey of Menlo Park, CA; stepsister Renee Goldberg of Chelmsford and their spouses and children; Aunt, Renee Thurmond of Manchester, NH; cousins Chelsea Wilson and Kevin Boisvert and their spouses and children. Steffanie was predeceased by Paul G. Doucette Jr. (father) of Melrose; Alton and Jean LeBlanc; grandparents of Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada and her dog Spike.

Services will be held for Steffanie on January 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home in York, ME. For online condolences, please visit www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com.
