The City Hall update

MELROSE — The City of Melrose is sharing the following updates for the upcoming week:

Holiday Closures at City Offices: Melrose City Hall will close early at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 31. All City offices and departments will be closed on Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1 with the exception of the Melrose Police and Fire Departments.

Complete the Regional Transportation Safety Survey: As part of the 97 community Boston Regional Metropolitan Planning Organization, Melrose is participating in a major initiative to develop a regional Vision Zero Action Plan, a transportation planning framework that will prioritize the safety of all roadway users. All residents are encouraged to share their transportation safety concerns and ideas for improvement in a brief survey which is available in English, Spanish (Español), Brazilian Portuguese (Português), Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt), Traditional Chinese (漢語), Simplified Chinese (汉语) and Haitian Creole (Kreyòl Ayisyen). Visit bostonmpovisionzero.org and select “We Want to Hear from You” in the main menu to access the survey. The final regional Vision Zero Action Plan will unlock additional safety project and program implementation funds for municipalities like Melrose.

Renew Your Municipal Parking Lot Pass: If you hold a 2024 parking pass for overnight parking in a Melrose municipal parking lot or MBTA commuter lot, make sure that you obtain a new parking pass for 2025. All City of Melrose 2024 Overnight Parking Permits will expire on December 31, 2024. More information is available.
