ANDOVER — The Merrimack Valley gymnastics coaches met recently to select their All-Star teams. Four members of the North Reading-Andover co-op team made it.
Two Warnets made the First-Team All-League while two other made the Second-Team All-League.
The two First-Team All-Leaguers were freshmen Kelsie Berry and Alex Lee who are both from North Reading.
Berry made it in the vault while Lee made it in the all-around.

“Kelsie’s high score was a 9.4 this year in the vault and her signature move was the Pike Tsukuhra,” explained Warnets head coach Marlena Bresnick. “She was amazing this year.”
Lee was the team’s top all-arounder this winter.
“Considering that she is just a freshman, it was a great run for her,” said Bresnick. “She is very solid in all four events.”
In the North Sectionals last month, Lee came in 10th-place in the all-around with a score of 36.275.

The two Warnets to make the Second-Team All-Stars were Alexis Ciavardone and Izzy Laski.
Ciavardone, another 9th-grader from North Reading, competed in all four events at different times this season.
“Alexis was good in all four events but her most consistent event was the floor exercise,” said Bresnick.
In the North Sectional Ciavardone tied for 17th place with a score of 9.15.

Laski, of Andover, was the senior captain.
“Izzy was a great leader for our younger members,” said Bresnick. “She didn’t make many mistakes and always scored in the eight’s in the events she competed in.”
This was a very successful first season for the co-op program as they came in second place in the MVC going 7-1 behind undefeated Central Catholic.
The Warnets came in third place in the MVC League Meet behind Central and North Andover, who they beat in the regular season.
In the North Sectional, they just missed qualifying for the state final as they came in 5th place (only the top four advanced). There were 12 schools competing.
