NORTH READING — Are you looking to buy a home in North Reading? The town of North Reading is accepting offers to purchase a single family home it owns located at 9 Mill Street. The minimum offer amount is $799,200 and the property is being sold “as is” through a request for proposal process (RFP).
The house, built in 1992, is located on an approximately 4.36-acre parcel of land. The town intends to convey the property for its continued use or re-development as a single-family house lot.
The property was originally acquired by the town during negotiations with the town of Reading to potentially connect its water system to the MWRA via Reading. This option was abandoned when the Town Meeting eventually voted to approve a 99-year lease agreement to buy its water from the town of Andover.
All questions, requests for interpretation of the RFP requirements or requests for supplemental information from prospective buyers must be made in writing via e-mail and sent to Todd Woekel at twoekel@northreadingma.gov no later than today — Thursday, May 15, 2025.
Answers to questions received, any interpretations of the RFP or supplemental information to be provided to respondents will be issued in the form of written addenda to the RFP and will be sent by e-mail no later than Wednesday, May 21, 2025 to all persons on record as having received the RFP.
Proposals submitted in response to this RFP must be labeled “Disposition of Property at 9 Mill Street RFP # 2025-02TA” and received at the Department of Public Works Office at 235 North St., North Reading MA 01864 no later than Tuesday, May 27, 2025 by 4 p.m.
