McKayla Murphy led the team in goals with 22 while fellow attacker Morgan Lally was second with 20. Lally had a team-high 27 points with seven assists while Murphy had one assist to finish with 23 points.

North Reading finished at 4-12 overall this season and they went 0-10 in the CAL and 0-4 in the CAL Kinney division.

“Our 2018 season was a learning year,” said Hornets head coach Samantha Whitney. “We had a large roster with many new players. Although we had a lot to work on, the girls came ready to practice every day with a growth mindset. I am proud of the motivation and dedication on and off the field by all of my players. Their sportsmanship and determination to continue to get better in terms of stick work and strategy is all I could have asked for as a coach.”

Along with Ford, Riley, Lally and Murphy the team will also lose Julianna Piscatelli (defenseman), Bianca Ferraguto (attacker), and Cassie Mirasolo (defenseman).

The Hornets are slated to return 16 veterans next season as they will be one of the more experienced teams in the CAL.
