NORTH READING — Hundreds gathered at the Batchelder School playground Sunday afternoon for the annual Carl Cutlip Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Union Congregational Church.

The April 13 event saw children of all ages scouring the playground in search of thousands of colorful eggs filled with candy and treats. The hunt was divided into three age categories, giving even the youngest participants a fair chance at collecting treasures.

The Easter Bunny was a special highlight, arriving by fire truck and posing for photographs with families throughout the event.

The Union Congregational Church began hosting the event during COVID. It was previously hosted for many years by the Knights of Columbus and it continues to be a beloved community tradition each year.
