NORTH READING — The Union Congregational Church transformed into a chocolate lover’s paradise this past Sunday as guests gathered for their first Chocolate Affair Potluck, an event that organizers are already calling a delicious success.

There was an impressive array of chocolate-themed dishes and the church hall was filled with the rich aroma of chocolate as attendees sampled each other’s creations. Among the dishes were Rev. Hughes’ famous Blissful Banana Pie, a chocolate fountain, Brazilian brigadeiros, cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, truffles, fudge and lots more!

The event also featured a raffle for a giant Hershey Kiss and a “Guess the Number” M&M jar. Following the event’s success, the church’s Faith & Fellowship Ministry members, who planned the event, are considering making it an annual event!
