MELROSE — The City of Melrose is sharing the following updates for the upcoming
week:
Wyoming Cemetery
clean-up begins March 1
Wyoming Cemetery will begin the Spring clean-up on Saturday, March 1. Family members wishing to save any personal, holiday or seasonal decorations or any other mementos should remove them on or before March 1. Any items remaining after March 1 will be discarded. Water faucets will be turned on in mid-May. Questions can be directed to Wyoming Cemetery staff at 781-665-0405.
Excise Tax bills in the mail
Motor Vehicle Excise Tax bills will be mailed on Friday, February 28. If you have not received your bill by Monday, March 10, please contact the Collector’s office at 781-979-4120 or collections@cityofmelrose.org.
Cultural funding available for local projects
The Melrose Cultural Council (MCC) has opened a second round of project funding for community-oriented arts, cultural, and interpretive sciences events and programming with broad public benefit and impact. The latest grant application cycle opened February 17 and the deadline to apply is Friday, March 28. The MCC will provide direct grants of $250 to $1,000 to a variety of projects that appeal to the diverse population and cultures within Melrose — reaching adults of all ages, youth, children, families, and seniors.
