WAKEFIELD — Tonight voters will get a chance to hear from people running for both School Committee and Town Council in the election to be decided Tuesday, April 26.
Beginning at 6 p.m., WCAT will host the first of two candidate forums. All seven candidates for three open positions on the School Committee have been invited and will kick things off. They are: Thomas F. Markham III, Ami Ruehrwein Wall, Eillen P. Colleran, Kevin Fontanella, Alexandra Langes Makarewicz, Carmen A. Sorrentino and Gregory E. Spry.
At 8 p.m., the four candidates for three open positions on the Town Council have been invited to participate. They are: Jonathan Chines, Michael J. McLane, Kaitlin M. Dolan and Robert E. Vincent.
Town Moderator Bill Carroll will be the moderator for both forums. Members of the Wakefield Daily Item will offer the questions to the candidates.
The forums will be shown live on YouTube, WCAT’s Facebook page, and on WCAT’s Government channel (RCN 13, Comcast 22, and Verizon 42) and on their Public channel (RCN 3, Comcast 3, and Verizon 40).
The forums will be rebroadcast throughout the coming week leading up to election day next Tuesday.
