Eight Warriors named indoor boys’ track All-Stars

WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield High boys’ indoor track and field team had eight representatives named as Middlesex League All-Stars this season.

The Warriors finished 4-1 to take 2nd in the Freedom Division. Wakefield won the Div. 4 State Relay Championship for the second consecutive season, their third relay title in the last four years. They went on to take 3rd in the D4 State Championship.

Wakefield had seven individuals and a relay team named as All-Stars this season: senior Ethan Mezikofsky (600 meters and 4×400 relay), senior Brandon Nett (2 mile), senior Frankie Sullivan (shot put), senior Brody Wyatt (At-Large and 4×400 relay), senior Jacob Ciriello (At-Large), junior JaMauri Belmer (long jump and high jump), junior Isaac Melo (300 meters and 4×400 relay) and junior Aidan Burd (4×400 relay).
