Game Day for Wakefield Little League 12-year-old All-Stars

THE WAKEFIELD Little League 12-year-old All-Stars play their third round robin game of the Section 4 championship tonight, 5:30 p.m. at Stephen O’Grady Field in Salem against Swampscott. Wakefield fell to Danvers in their first game on Wednesday and were edged by Peabody on a walk-off in a terrific game played by both teams last night. A path to the championship game tomorrow is still there for Wakefield (0-2) if they can beat Swampscott (1-1). Danvers is through after winning their first two games. If Danvers (2-0) beats Peabody (1-1) and Wakefield beats Swampscott tonight, it would mean that three teams would be tied for the last spot in the title game.
