WAKEFIELD — Members of Wakefield Junior Troop 83417 dropped off 80 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to the Wakefield Food Pantry along with a monetary donation from their cookie proceeds.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls acquire entrepreneurial skills including goal setting, money management, decision-making, people skills and business ethics. The funds the girls earn power their journeys in leadership, entrepreneurship and community building, and fuel inspiring experiences throughout the year including camps, trips, service projects, badge-earning activities and much more. Donating to the Food Pantry is a way the troop can help create a positive impact on their community.
