Matthew Wixon, 27

Enjoyed cooking, sweets and Harry Potter

WAKEFIELD — Matthew R. Wixon passed away suddenly at the age of 27 on Tuesday, October 17.

Matt was born in Boston and lived in Wakefield and graduated from Northeast Metro Tech High School. Matt was a hard worker who really enjoyed his job and teammates at PestEnd and recently received Employee of the Month. Outside of work, Matt loved to spend time with his family and would be the first to lend a hand to anyone when needed.

Matt had many different interests throughout his life such as cooking, gaming, flying his drone over the lake, detailing his car and scratch tickets! He loved sweets, his classic black hat, South Park and Harry Potter. Matt had a great sense of humor and could make you erupt with laughter with the slightest witty comment. Matt was so clever, reliable, strong and had a very big heart who loved his family, friends and his dogs: Ricky, Lucy and Kota.

Matt was the beloved son of Margaret and Rich Wixon and is also survived by his brother, CJ; his aunts and uncles: Ann and Rich Tobin; Dianne Wixon and Craig Griffin; and Donna and Joe Ferraro; his cousins: Ryan, Richie, Nick, Bryan, Michael, Marissa, Amaya and Achai; his grandparents: Richard Benner, Jo Ann Hickey Benner and Terry Philbrook. He was predeceased by his grandparents: Laraine Wixon and Roger Wixon. Matt was the best son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to all and will be missed dearly.

Family and Friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 25 at Saint Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, MA at 10 a.m. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
