MLK’s words inspire WMHS graphic design projects

WAKEFIELD — Wakefield Memorial High School Graphic Design students used the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. to inspire their latest project.

Each student chose a quote spoken by the activist to be the focus of a digital collage. They learned about text placement, font pairs, color schemes, digital editing, and more. The final products commemorate the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr. and invite viewers to reflect on the ongoing struggle for civil rights.

A video of these collages was created for the Wakefield Human Rights Commission’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day Event held this morning and the work will also be displayed at the new Inspire Cafe in honor of Black History Month.
