Multiple boys’ track Warriors impress at Meet of Champions

FITCHBURG — The MIAA Meet of Champions All Division meet was held over the weekend at Fitchburg State University. The Warriors had a strong showing with multiple entries that qualified for the individual-focused meet.  

JaMauri Belmer had a busy weekend competing in three events. His top performance came in the long jump where he was 8th and made the podium with his 21’9.25” leap. In the triple jump, Belmer was 13th reaching 43’9”. He was 18th in the high jump clearing 6’2”.   

Brody Wyatt placed 27th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 59.17.   

Ethan Mezikofsky placed 22nd in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.96.   

The 4×800 meter relay team of Aidan Burd, Andrew Nett, Brandon Nett and Mezikofsky placed 17th in a time of 8:11.72.   

The 4×400 meter relay team of Isaac Melo, Jackson Conley, Mezikofsky, and Wyatt placed 16th in a time of 3:26.32, about a second short of breaking the school record.
