Paving work Monday

WAKEFIELD — On Monday, August 18, paving preparations will begin on Green Street (Main Street to Dillaway Street), Dillaway Street, Upland Road and Sidney Street. These roadways were included in the Hart’s Hill Water Tower replacement project.

Operations are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Please keep this in mind as you plan your commute.

Road reclamation will be the first part in this process. Reclamation is the complete pulverization of the existing pavement with additional work such as fine grading and compacting. This work is estimated to take one to two days.

After the roadbed has been properly graded, paving operations will follow at a later date.  All work is weather dependent.

Access to homes will be maintained to the maximum extent possible, however, we ask that residents allot more times to enter/exit their neighborhood when this phase of work occurs.  Impacted residents will receive additional information via flyer at their homes.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Engineering Department at 781-246-6308. View information on these and other projects on the interactive project may at www.wakefieldma.gov/dpw-projects.
