Tom attended Bridgewater High where he was recognized as a gifted athlete and formed many lifelong friendships. Following his studies at Bentley, he earned a Bachelor Degree from Northeastern University. He spent the majority of his career working for WCVB-TV in Needham, retiring in 1999 as Vice President and Business Manager.

He helped to organize the “Briefcase Race” at Loon Mountain with all net proceeds going to the Faulkner Breast Centre. He donated his time for many years helping people to file their taxes and served on several organizations’ board of directors.
From childhood through his entire life, Tom formed many meaningful friendships. He had a generous soul and always had a kind word for everyone he met. He was consistently invested in his community and was a supporter of the arts and helped those without a lot of means. Tom was one of the folks through the years that would find the energy to keep everyone connected. This gift of his, which came so naturally to him, would continue throughout his life.
He is survived by his children and their spouses; Diane and Joseph Catoggio of Gorham, Maine; Susan Bringola and Paul Angelli of Framingham; Thomas, Jr. and Tracy Bringola of Newbury and Karen Bringola and David Killam of San Francisco, Calif.
