Communitas Inc. hosts successful drive For Wakefield Food Pantry

WAKEFIELD – Communitas Inc., located on Audubon Road, recently hosted a successful food drive in support of the Wakefield Food Pantry. The initiative was led by the Career Services department. 

They gathered and delivered a generous collection of food and personal care items. Five program participants and four staff members took part in delivering all of the donations this past Thursday. Communitas gave a huge thanks to the Executive Director Maureen Miller, Volunteer Coordinator Pina Masciarelli and all of the dedicated volunteers who made this possible.

The Career Based Day Services program at Communitas focuses on building strong connections within the nearby communities while helping individuals with disabilities develop essential life and vocational skills. Communitas provides individualized support and services for people with developmental disabilities and their families throughout their lives — from early childhood through adulthood. Communitas is committed to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities – and their families – in the community. We offer Family Support, Residential Services, Day Services, and Recreational Programs  – as well as employment and volunteering opportunities – for more than 1,000 families from Everett, Lynn, Lynnfield, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Saugus, Stoneham, Wakefield and surrounding communities.
