Viola Simeola, 91

 

WAKEFIELD — Viola (Corindia) Simeola, 91, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 22. 

Viola was born on October 17, 1932 to Millie and Vincent Corindia in Wakefield. After graduating from Wakefield High School in 1950, she went on to study at Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. In 1955 she married the love of her life, Mario, going on to have two children: Lisa and Mark. 

Viola was predeceased by her husband, Mario; her son in law, Steven Dalbec; and her sisters: Serena, Mary and Lily. She is survived by her children: Lisa Dalbec and Mark and Sue Simeola; her grandchildren: Michael Simeola and his wife Kate; Andrew Dalbec; Stacey Lucchesi and her husband Drey; and Caroline Dalbec and her fiancé David West; and her great grandchildren: John and Roger Simeola and Marco and Mia Lucchesi. She also cherished her beloved staff and friends at Brightview Wakefield. 

She was active in her community, serving on the YMCA Auxiliary Board, the YMCA Board of Directors, the Council on Aging and the Board of Directors at Bear Hill Golf Club. She will be missed and remembered fondly by all. 

Her funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 27 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield. All are welcome. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
