Wakefield girls’ tennis team celebrates season at banquet

WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield High girls’ tennis team recently held their annual banquet to celebrate their season, hand out team awards, thank their seniors and announce captains for next season. 

The Warriors also congratulated their two 2025 Middlesex League All-Stars: senior captains Addie Moon and Toni Whitson. This was the third consecutive year on the All-Star team for Whitson and Moon who concluded their terrific Warrior tennis careers as first doubles partners with a record of 11-5 this season. 

Wakefield head coach Kathy Healey presented team awards to Moon and Whitson (MVP’s), Nora Fitzgerald (Coaches Award), Ella Medeiros (Coaches Award), Audrey Cook (Dedication Award) and Ellie Butler (Most Improved Player). 

The new captains for next season were announced as Allison Cook and Audrey Callahan will take over as Wakefield’s new leaders.
