At about 9 a.m. yesterday, a caller reported a mother duck and several ducklings in need of assistance in the area of Chestnut and and Tuttle streets. A Wakefield Police officer confirmed multiple ducklings had fallen into a catch basin. The Fire Department responded and firefighter Michael Rowe was able to rescue five ducklings from the catch basin and reunite them with their mother.
