WAKEFIELD — John H. Rush, 88, of Wakefield, formerly of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2018.

John proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. John was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grand father and great grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.

John is the beloved husband of Justina (Hamilton) Rush. He is the devoted father of John H. Rush Jr. and his wife Filomena, Suzanne M. Weisse and her husband William and Jeanne L. Comeau and her husband Kevin. He is the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Jaclyn, Kara, Lauren, Brian, Patrick, Natasha and Verusca. He is the loving great grandfather of four. He is the dear brother of the late James, Richard and William. He was the best friend of Charlie DiCicco.

The funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Route 28) Stoneham, will be Saturday, August 25, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass Celebrating John’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 a.m.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday, August 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. Parking attendants and elevator available.
