Wakefield well-represented at 126th Boston Marathon

BOSTON — The 126th Boston Marathon featured plenty of Wakefield competitors. There were 21 current Wakefield residents who crossed the historic, Boylston Street finish line on Monday.

All of the following times are according to the Boston Athletic Association’s official results.

The top Wakefield finisher in 2022 was 27-year-old Matthew Cicciu who finished in 2:43.18 and was 565th in his division.

Next was 25-year-old Jaime Lord at 2:54.33. Lord’s time was 111th amongst all female finishers and 104th in her division.

Matthew Lyons, 43, finished in 3:15.05.

Elizabeth Lombardo, 26, finished in 3:21.55.

Olivia Biron, 28, rounded out the top five from Wakefield, finishing in 3:26.17.

Making up the rest of the top 10 were:

Jamie Nadworny, 41, 3:36.22.

Alyssa Marchant, 32, 3:57.13.

Kyle Monahan, 33, 4:07.22.

Jeffrey Mcmanama, 27, 4:14.48.

William Nobles, 47, 4:33.16.

Janice Berner, 54, 4:39.54, had one of the highest division rankings at 946.

The rest of the top 20 from Wakefield include: Gina Scheer, 41, 4:43.53; Gordon Stilwell, 29, 4:49.20; Nicole Jacob, 48, 4:51.28; Sabella Fabiano, 22, 4:52.34; Mark Dinocco, 37, 4:52.40; Nick Palmerino, 56, 4:54.25; Lynn Parise, 34, 5:13.05; Meghan Lucey, 26, 5:28.33 and Samantha Gasbarro, 33, 5:51.09.

Wakefield natives and classmates of Wakefield High (’12) Kathleen Pinette and Justine Carlson crossed the line together in 6:15.50. They were part of a team running for cancer research at Mass General in remembrance of Kathleen’s sister and RN at MGH, Caroline Pinette (Wakefield High, ‘10).

Congratulations to all Wakefieldians who completed the 126th Boston Marathon.
