WAKEFIELD — On Monday, September 29, paving preparations will begin on Hopkins Street, Brook Street (from Prospect to Hopkins), and South Street (from Hopkins to the town line). All work is weather dependent.
Throughout the project, traffic detours may be necessary. Please keep this in mind if your commute brings you through the area. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained to the maximum extent possible, however, we ask that residents allot more times to enter and exit their neighborhoods when work occurs.
The project includes roadway milling, installation of new asphalt sidewalks along the east side of Hopkins Street, installation of new granite curbing and the removal/resetting of existing granite curbing, and installation of new ADA curb ramps at roadway corners.
