WAKEFIELD — Police are investigating a shoplifting incident at Shaw’s supermarket on Water Street after a man allegedly left the store yesterday without paying for $137.58 worth of merchandise.

According to police, the man could be seen on security video at about 5:15 p.m. going through the self-checkout, where he scanned and paid for one…
