Schools’ redefine ‘economically disadvantaged’

WAKEFIELD — A new metric for collecting education data for kindergarten through grade 12 has been established as a result of redefining low income, said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen K. Zrike at Tuesday’s school board meeting.

STUDENTS in grade 6 at the Galvin Middle School recently participated in the annual Wax Museum held in the school's new cafeteria. For the event, students in Mr. Boyd's Language Arts class dressed as someone famous and presented patrons with information on their lives. The occasion marked the culminating event of their biography research unit. This year's Wax Museum drew hundreds of students, teachers, administrators and parents from the school community.
