Angels Walk Off As Major Softball Town Champions

IN AN exciting finish to a great game and a great season, the Major League Angels edged the Orioles in the final game of the season, 11-10, to take home the title. The game featured excellent defense, strong pitching, and timely hitting culminated by an exciting walk off hit for the champion Angels. Both teams showed great resilience and exhibited that “never say die” attitude. Wakefield Little League would like to acknowledge both coaching staffs for a tremendous job of developing the softball skills of these fine young girls off the field. Wakefield softball is looking bright for the future and Wakefield Little League is helping pave the way. Thank you to all involved. The members of the team included Alexandra Bernardinelli, Abigail Coughlin, Isabella D'Ambrosio, Alessandra Fiorino, Kyleigh Flannigan, Pamela Janiehs, Abigail Murdocca, Jordyn Pugsley, Charlotte Rossicone, Sophia Rossicone, Bridget Santos and Brooke Wallace.
