THE WMHS girls’ tennis team clinched a state tournament berth for the second straight season and finished the year with a 9-8 record. THE Wakefield Little League Minor League division champ Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs had a fantastic season compiling a 15-2 record, culminated by a flawlessly played 5-0 win in the championship game over the rival Carolina Mud Cats. THE WMHS boys' lacrosse team finished with a 15-5 record for the second straight year and captured the Middlesex League Freedom division title. Members of the team included Ryan Chambers, Anthony Drinkwater, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Austin Collard, Nick McGee, Mike Ruane, Will Miller, Pat Leary, Brandon Grinnell, MJ Urbano, Ned Buckley, Bryan Noyes, Vin Ferretti, James McAuliffe, Alex Mansour, Alex Flynn, PJ Iannuzzi, Alex Joly, Ty Collins, Dylan Frank, Dylan Brady, Andrew DeLeary, Justin Sullivan, Robert Keegan and Stephen Marino.
