WMHS DRUM MAJOR Simone Millett and Color Guard Captains Natalie Kretas and Serena Loh with the NESBA Division 5 championship trophy and High Caption Award plaques at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Lawrence last night. The Warrior Marching Band scored 97.89 to capture the championship. Finishing second was Oakmont-Overlook of Ashburnham, which called a 95.77.

Marching Band eyes record finish at NESBA finals

Boys’ cross country starts postseason with strong performances at league meet

WOBURN — The Middlesex League 12 Championship Cross Country meet was held on Monday at the Woburn Country Club with all Freedom and Liberty teams competing.  

Despite not placing particularly high as a team, the Wakefield boys’ cross country team had many strong performances with much-improved times compared to last year.
